I have played drums since the mid 70's in a wide range of bands and styles. I mostly performed and recorded in London and the U.K. during the 80's and 90's. Artists/Bands that I have worked with include: Berkeley Wright, Helen Moore, Hiding In The Tall Grass, Hood Ting, Jonathan Payne, Junction, Koni, Men And Machines, Pat Orchard, Richard Bell, Sal Paradise, Shiny New Toys, Taiko Meantime, Tayce, The Jazz Butcher, Tony Lowe, Veni Vidi Vici, Western, Who'd-A-Thought-It. I moved from London to Dorset in 2002 and set up a drum tuition facility. I teach around 130 students privately and in local schools. My experience encompasses:
My teaching approach is friendly, flexible and comprehensive. I teach a range of styles including: Rock, pop, funk, soul, jazz/funk, drum 'n' bass, hip hop and R&B. My rhythmic influences include: Stuart Copeland, Neil Peart, Simon Phillips, Phil Collins, Sheila E, Talvin Singh, Omar Hakim and Luke Cresswell. |
