We all have a heartbeat - we all have rhythm...

A good teacher should motivate, support, advise and develop a student to achieve their maximum potential.

You all have a reason for wanting to play the drums...

"I want to join a band or form my own group..."

"I want to be famous..."

"I have wanted to learn drums ever since I was a kid..."

"It looks so much fun to do..."

"I want a positive outlet for my stress and frustration..."

"I want to annoy my parents..."

"I want to be better at something than my brother..."

"I want to make a lot of noise..."

Whatever your reason, you will find drumming therapeutic, stimulating, good for the brain and above all, great fun.

I have been teaching drums in Dorset for over two years since I moved from London in 2002. I have around 130 students who range from 6 years old to 70 years old.  I teach men, women, boys, girls, novices, intermediate and competent players. I also teach people with learning difficulties and attention disorders.  Please call or email me to discuss your particular needs here.

My private drum lesson options are as follows:

You can choose a 30-minute or 50-minute lesson.

You can choose longer lessons at my Personal Drum Clinic.

I can teach you at your home on your own drum kit or I can bring a drum kit to you if required.

You can come to me for drum tuition if you prefer.

You can choose weekly, fortnightly, monthly or ad-hoc lesson frequencies.

If you don't have a drum kit, I can bring either a compact acoustic kit or an electronic kit to suit you.  The electronic kit is useful if noise disturbance is going to be an issue because the drum sounds can be restricted to headphones if required.
